The Irish West Coast, both harsh and beautiful, creates the frame for this humoristic documentary.The main character is Jimmy, middleaged and lonely. Of earthly creatures seen from his window is an equally lonely cow and a dog whom Jimmy confides in. The batchelor would like a woman to share his life and consequently looks up a matchmaker, who dutifully asks him about his wishes and preferences. Jimmy bides his time, fantasizes, chats with his batchelor friends, ask God for advice and build endless stonewalls while humming “It´s now or never”.
Then one day, this rugged man gets a telephone call from the matchmaker.
